Great Time To Start A Career At Stonewater Roofing

Unhappy With Your Career? You Don’t Have To Be

More than 60 percent of Americans are searching for a new employer, according to a 2020 study conducted by human resources firm Ceridian. That’s a staggering number — but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Stonewater Roofing is the perfect landing spot for self-disciplined, motivated individuals who are seeking a new career path.

The family owned and operated roofing company was founded in 2010 — in the spare bedroom of a humble Tyler home — and has since grown exponentially. We now stretch from the DFW area to Shreveport, Louisiana. Stonewater Roofing was also the first East Texas company to receive the GAF Master Elite Triple Excellence Award.

But your job search shouldn’t be based on market growth or awards.

What Does Stonewater Mean To You?

We asked our employees that question, and the responses were powerful.

“Stonewater means everything to me,” explained direct sales manager Jordan Cagle. “It’s helped me grow and know more about people, our community, questions and concerns.”

“But the most important thing, to me, that Stonewater represents is our culture, our diversity within our culture, and how that everyone comes from different backgrounds,” Cagle continued. “We come, unite for a common goal — which is genuine caring for each and every client we have.”

That caring attitude, Cagle stated, extends down from the rooftops and into the communities that we call home. “Just making our footprint in our community known,” he said. “What we represent is so much more than construction.”

Senior sales representative Anayo Onyi added, “Stonewater means, to me, that you can start out in a not-so-favorable position, with not all the opportunity and not all the optimism, and you can work hard, transition, overcome and help build something great — be a part of something great.”

Stonewater Roofing Still Hiring During Coronavirus Crisis

Unemployment claims skyrocketed across the State of Texas last month, climbing more than 600 percent according to the newest data from the Texas Workforce Commission. However, while many companies are releasing workers and cutting costs during the coronavirus crisis, Stonewater Roofing is actually looking to hire new talent.

More than 460,000 people throughout the state filed for unemployment benefits in March. “If we continue at this pace, we are on track to help the same number of Texans that filed for all of 2019 in just a little over a month’s time,” Cisco Gamez, spokesman for the Texas Workforce Commission, told The Dallas Morning News.

Those who have recently lost their jobs — and have strong sales experience — are encouraged to contact Stonewater Roofing about starting a career in the roofing industry. We are looking for honest, self-disciplined, motivated individuals to join our team as we continue to tackle projects in the Tyler and Longview communities.

“We want to find people who are passionate about a career in roof sales, people who want to help out others,” said Dianna Gregg, director of operations for Stonewater Roofing, “but we also want to offer a helping hand to those who may have just recently lost their jobs. We want to get them back on their feet and give them a way to provide for their families again.”

As an essential business that provides safety and protection to East Texas residents and business owners, statewide stay-at-home orders have not prevented us from offering roof services during this uncertain time. While our traditional door-to-door sales have been temporarily halted, our sales staff is still communicating with both new and existing customers, and the ‘Remote Roofing by Stonewater‘ method has made the process of getting a new roof completely hassle-free.

“The virus has really shifted how our sales team does business, but our guys are not missing a beat,” Gregg added. “They’ve done an excellent job at keeping in touch with our customers, following up with everyone and visiting any of the properties where they might be needed — and new technology has given us a way to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Stonewater Roofing offers health and retirement benefits, flexible schedules, advancement opportunities, and all with absolutely no commission cap. Your salary is based on your sales performance, and your earning potential is unlimited. If this sounds like a perfect career for you, contact us today. We cannot wait for you to join the Stonewater team! Apply online now!

Tips For Finding The Best Roofing Company

With all of the pressure-filled sales pitches and roofers knocking on your door, it can be difficult to know who to hire. They all say that they are the experts, but how do you know if that’s actually true? Here are some tips for finding the best roofing company that meets your needs.

Make a list of questions to ask before hiring a roofer.

Ask detailed questions regarding the company’s roofing services, and ensure you are satisfied with their responses. For example, ask about the number of nails that will be used for each shingle. Most of the time, more than three nails will be required for a good job. You don’t have to be a roofing expert, but you should do a little research to know what is necessary to get your job done.

Turn down offers made using pressure tactics.

Roofers who try to sell their product this way are not the people who you want to deal with your roof. Such shysters can be very aggressive, so do what is necessary to shut them down. Don’t let them pressure you into making a decision that makes you feel uncomfortable. Take the time to call around and learn more about them first.

Do some careful research before deciding which roofer to hire.

Never base your choice solely off of who is cheapest or who is the closest. You should be doing solid research and reading reviews about best roofing company in your area. You may utilize online resources or seek recommendations from those who you know and trust.

At Stonewater Roofing, we are thrilled to have a long list of happy customers. Check out a few of the reviews here!

Before hiring a roofer, check all credentials.

You may want to ask your friends or family for suggestions, if any of them have had their roofs done. You need to hire an excellent contractor. This is the best way to ensure that you aren’t looking at expensive repairs down the road.

Make sure credentials are up to date.

If you’re looking into hiring a roofer, you should be sure that they can provide complete credentials that are totally up to date. A license is required for roofers, generally. Check with local authorities to see of your roofer has theirs up to date. The company should also be fully insured and covered for worker’s compensation laws as well.
